Questions about the signature generator
Is my signature uploaded or saved anywhere?
No. The signature is drawn and turned into an image inside your browser, and the file goes straight from this page to your downloads folder. Nothing is sent to SignWren or anyone else, and when you close the tab it is gone.
Should I download the PNG or the SVG?
Pick PNG for most things. It has a transparent background and works in Word, Google Docs, Pages, email footers and most PDF apps. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which is handy for design tools; typed signatures are converted to outlines, so the SVG does not need the font installed.
Can I use a signature made here on a contract?
You can place it on a document, and for plenty of everyday paperwork that is all anyone expects. How it looks matters less than being able to show that you meant to sign that document. If a contract is important, a signing service that records who signed and when gives you much better proof.
Is the signature generator really free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many signatures you make or download.
How do I put my signature on a PDF?
Use our free Sign a PDF tool. You pick a PDF from your device, make a signature the same way as here, drop it on the page, and download the signed copy. That tool also runs entirely in your browser.
